A Red Alert is an emergency alarm that opens a call with an operator in our Monitoring Centre. The operator quickly locates you and sends help to where it's needed.

How it works

Threat

You’re being followed, threatened, or you’ve suffered an injury.

Alert

Tap to activate a Red Alert quickly and discreetly.

Connect

A 1-way call is opened with an operator in our Monitoring Centre.

Locate

The operator locates your device and listens to Check-In messages.

Verify

They listen in to verify the severity of the incident. Audio indicators can help e.g. “put the knife down” or “get away from me”.

Response

A response is initiated - police, ambulance and/or friend or family member is notified.

Mobile app vs traditional panic alarm

SoloProtect Mobile App

It’s completely discreet; it doesn’t make a sound and there’s no need to hold the phone to your ear.
Operators will listen in to the incident and escalate accordingly i.e. sending the police, ambulance, or notifying a friend or family member.
It’s integrated into your mobile phone (no separate device needed).
SoloProtect can quickly locate you and request a police response on your behalf.
Can be used to call for help following an injury or unexpected health issue, as well as violence or abuse.
Can be activated when a situation is escalating, allowing operators to respond quickly before it reaches its peak.
The emergency services are briefed by our operators so they know in advance what to expect.

Traditional Panic Alarm

Makes a loud noise to deter an attacker. Note: For those who run with a dog, the noise can sometimes be alarming for animals.
Only effective if there’s someone in the vicinity who hears the alarm and is willing to step in to offer support.
You need to remember to carry a separate device with you.
You still need to call 999 on your phone if you need the emergency services.
Mainly used in the event of an attack.
Normally activated during the peak of an incident.
No link with the emergency services so no support is available unless 999 is called.
